As part of the reduce plastic pollution programme, young professionals work with local community members, students and teachers on reducing plastic pollution. Here is an overview of some of the programmes:

  • Promoting skill development of community members in re-use and up-cycling of plastic waste from landfills in Delhi NCR.

  • Programmes to educate local people about saving marine resources from plastic waste in Chennai,
    Tamil Nadu.

  • Promoting the concept of circular economy and value chain analysis of plastic and paper waste management with the support of self-help groups in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.

  • Promoting skill development and participation of local community members in recycling waste for making eco-friendly products in Vrindavan and Mathura,
    Uttar Pradesh.

  • Promoting study and research on the use of pyrolysis technique with plastic waste in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

  • Promoting sanitation units using low carbon construction techniques with fly-ash for reducing carbon footprint in Cuttack, Odisha.

  • Promoting innovations in waste collection, recycling and re-use in Mumbai and Pune, Maharashtra.
