We work in the field of nature conservation, environment protection and sustainable development. Our projects and programmes are aligned with National Priorities in India, such as Jal Shakti, Water & Sanitation, Smart Cities and Skill Development. Our work is also aligned with Sustainable Development Goals such as SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13 - Climate Change, SDG 14 - Life below Water, SDG 15 - Life on Land, SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals.
We focus on the following areas for developing scientific research projects, educational and experiential learning programmes, skill development and community-based conservation programmes:
The ‘Citizen Science’ programmes create space for participation, rekindling exploratory spirit in science to understand the environment around us better.
We use the ‘Experiential Learning’ approach, grounded in scientific research. Our learning programmes are designed by scientists, educators, subject specialists and technical experts.
We focus on environment-friendly and sustainable technologies, along with skill development programmes for young people and Self Help Groups in rural areas.
We help corporations and businesses, schools and colleges, Self Help Groups and institutions to become more sustainable by building capacity to implement sustainable policies, processes, and practices.
Through our projects and programmes, citizens and scientists work together to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment. We do this by supporting scientific research that increases understanding and knowledge; by transformational learning programmes that promote environmentally sustainable activities and by skill development and community-based conservation initiatives in rural and urban areas.
